Poland's first President in the twentieth century was assassinated by a fanatical National Democrat, egged on by conspiracy theories about Narutowicz being an agent of the Jews and otherwise an enemy of Poland. What if he weren't, and instead set up a functional, relatively stable multiparty democratic government in 1920s Poland? He'd still be unpopular among the Polish Right, but suppose they don't murder him.

How do Polish politics proceed? How do relations with the Czechs and the West and Germany develop under a more democratic government? Would he make a better ruler than Pilsudski, and who would succeed him?
