I was just watching another news report about the violence in Mexico. The drug cartels have adopted Al Qaeda inspired tactics. Considering that reality, and all of the issues related to illegal immigration, I have to wonder if within the coming decade we are not really seeing or considering is the U.S. sending troops into Mexico. Perhaps without the invitation of the Mexican government.
There is no doubt they are in a crisis at the moment. Their government seems incapable of getting the situation under control. How else is it going to be resolved, unless the U.S. intervenes? Will the U.S. tolerate a narco-terrorist state on its southern border?
