From the Ashes of the USSR: The Eurasian Union

Let's say in the next 5 years we see Russia's Putin (or someone like Putin) being serious about creating a Eurasian Union and going out for some cold, hard talks with some of the former Soviet nations that haven't joined the EU or any other major power blocs. Let's say this Union is strictly economic.

What are the most plausible nations that are willing to join this Union?
Are the EU, US, and other countries going to fear that this Union is going to lead to a Neo-Soviet Union and another Cold War?
Is this Union going to last as long as the USSR if it were to be created?

Maybe Belarus, but that is a long shot at best and More likely ASB. There was a shot at a Belarusian-Russian union back in the 90s, but I think that window has closed. Anything else would be ASB in my opinion.

Central Asian nations, Belarus, maybe Ukraine. Interesting option I've seen discussed on this site is Turkey if it ever gets tiered of being prevented from joining the E.U.

If E.U. collapses, maybe some former Warsaw Pact nations would be interested in closer economic ties with Russia, though I am not sure.
