Gaetano Gabriele d'Annunzio is probably one of the most intresting figures of 21st century Europe. A poet, a novelist, journalist, war hero and part-time politician, d'Annunzio is probably most well known for the Flight over Vienna and the seizure of the port of Fiume.
Before the rise of Mussolini, he was the leading figure of Italian Fascism, and even as Mussolini began his ascent to power many of his supporters continued to look to "The First Duce" as a potential source of leadership should Benito falter.
So, what id d'Annunzio actually takes the gamble and tries to march on Rome with his 2,000 (probably more by now) Arditi? Does it pay off or is Fascism going to die with Tano when he is executed for treason?
