French Revolution twenty years later: would it be even worse?

Let's say France avoided the ARW and managed to get some small financial reform through that gave it another couple of decades or so before the revolution break out. How would that affect things? It's tempting to think more bottling up would mean a bigger explosion, but is this really true? Would more of a middle class have formed, thus making it more moderate? What were the trends for power shifting in society between the various groups if there was another 20 years without revolution?

1) More you wait, more important the repercussion

2) Define "worse".

3) You HAD a middle class in 1789. It's why bourgeois, urban elites and popular class managed to have a link between themselves.

I am not sure that Britain and France can exists for 50 years without a war!

The only reason the French got involved in the ARW was to get the Brits back for the Seven YEar War. I would think that either Britain or France will think up an excuse to have a war before the revolution happens, even if if it just another proxy one like the ARW.

That's a very fair challenge! If they weren't at war for the ARW, what would be the next explosion? The French stayed out of the War of the Bavarian Succession, but perhaps they'd back up the Austrians more if it was a chance to get back at the British...
