Fredrick VI, king of Denmark, Norway... and Sweden?

Hello!

After the coup of 1809 and installment of the elderly Charles XIII in Sweden, there was much debate of who was to be named heir of Sweden. In otl, it was first a danish prince and later the french general Jean Baptiste Bernadotte, founder of the current swedish royal house.

There however seems to have been serious consideration of making Fredrick VI, king of Denmark and Norway, the heir. But it came to no end, not least because of the Napoleonic wars.

However, if things had gone a bit differently, perhaps if Denmark had managed to remain neutral or even join Britain in the Napoleonic wars, then the possibilities of a union between Denmark-Norway and Sweden doesn't seem all too unlikely.

This union would of course be a personal one, Sweden would be largely independent, but it would certainly set the Scandinavian nations down a different path for the 19th century.
