As the tin says, this man with his pro-British outlook and wife who is Queen Victoria's eldest child keeps his throne and continues to guide Germany rather than dying.

Well, his credentials a sliberal have often been vastly overestimated, and William (II) is still Crown Prince, but - it would be quite good for Germany, all in all. Bismarck would be released more or less immidatly (IOTL, Frederick ascended the throne already lying on his death bed, and hence did not want to cause political discontinuity by sacking Bismarck), which would allow for an earlier era of free trade. IOTL, the German economy got an upsurge when Caprivi replaced Bismarck and initiated several free trade reforms. This might happen earlier now. And of course, a less blundering head of state will cause all kinds of diplomatic good to Germany. One has to wonder what happens to Bismarck's alliance system, though. I dont support the laudations for it: It was rotten, fragile and too dependent on him personally. With a less martialist and blundering Emperor, though, and an anglophile one at that (though that wont change British fears about a possible German economical dominance on the continent), who knows what might replace it...
