Frederick duke of York and Albany has children

Aha this is true, how the kids of George III got into so much debt is something I've never figured out

The most likely answer is that they were never taught how to work with money. Or like some kids I knew in freshman year of college, mom and dad worked so miserly with the money at home (turning each coin 10 times before they spent it), then Johnny boy gets into the big wide world and suddenly has to manage his own finances, but at the same time he has more money than he's ever had so he wants to buy EVERYTHING, go out partying every night, and at the end of the first month he realizes that he's blown a year's allowance in a month.

Or the opposite. They knew that if they needed it where the nearest ATM for the Bank of Mom and Dad is. My roommate freshman year was like that, he blew his entire book allowance on booze. Then phoned dad to transfer more money so he could buy the textbooks. Which dad did.

Ah, that's quite interesting, seems quite the Hanoverian trait, George's father Frederick was a big debt cumulator, whilst George II and I weren't. Nor the Stuarts from what I know
