Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Space Program

What if Franklin Delano Roosevelt survives in 1945 and lives to 1960? How this will affect a space program? [I assume that he will not take a part in 1948 elections]. Whether he will support this [and encourage Truman/Ike] or criticize it?

Might very well accept space program, altough it is extremely implausible that he will survive so long.

Simply having a slightly earlier Space program would be better than Roosevelt living until he was 88.

He would probably support it, if only for nation security and scientific purposes.

I could see him supporting at a low level, but I can't see him making a huge investment as he had too many other ideas for the tax revenue.

Would a surviving FDR consider a more rapid and active space program similar the 50s films Destination Moon and Conquest of Space?

What if Robert Goddard's liquid-fueled rocket will be more known in USA [maybe New York Times in 20s didn't criticize it] and in 1941 USAF [maybe Army or Navy?] will employ him to make a strategic rocket?
