Franco sides with Warsaw Pact or remains neutral

I'm listening to a course on Spain and Franco apparently sided with the West because he disliked Communists more than he disliked democracy. However, he didn't like either. What would have happened if he sided with the Soviets or with no one?

If he tries to jump over to Stalin, expect a revolt from the barracks and his generals to plant a knife in his back. There are no Communists left by the time he has power who will trust the man as far as they can throw him.

There was a fear in London and Washington that he would do just that because of his isolation; but because Fascism and Communism are ideologically opposite, that's why he opposed them. Not to mention, the USSR supported the Republicans during the Spanish Civil War, whereas Italy and Nazi Germany supported him. Him and Salazar (Portugal's Fascist leader) even sent an army division to aid in Germany's Invasion of the Soviet Union. So him siding with Communism defies everything he believes in.

I think if he sides with Communism, Anglo-French agents are given the green light by Washington to remove him and/or overthrow the Fascist regime in Spain.

Franco just loathed too deeply Socialism that he could ally with USSR. Despite Franco's distrust over democracy and disliking of liberalism he was closer of Western nations. Neutral is possible but absolutely not allying with any Socialist power. Whole Falangist ideology was targetted against Socialims and Communist. If Franco tries ally with Soviets he will be ousted from power quickl.y

I think this is absolutely impossible. During the spanish war, he defeated comunists/socialists and a lot of persons of the "moderate right" ended up supporting him. He also always carefully tried to maintain Spain neutral towards the Western Democratic countries, even in 1940.
Also, I think they did not even had any diplomatic relations with the countries of the communist block.
