some of you may have seen my map of a "greater france" that was created following the napoleonic wars (and possibly by one of napoleon's descendants rather than nappy himself). to sum it up very simply, france annexes the low countries, OTL germany, and part of western poland after occupying that region as a buffer zone against their enemies for many years. because these countries had their own nobility and their aristocracy would probably be imprisoned, made into puppets, or executed by teh french, what could become of their colonies? for my ATL, i currently have it so that some of these colonies are also annexed by france, but some declare independence and essentially become successor states on foreign soil to their home countries. for instance, i currently have it set up that britain maintains control of western South Africa while the western regions are dominated by boer republics that britain sympathizes since they were allies in the napoleonic wars.
anyway, what's the real plausibility of this? if its too implausible, what can i do to MAKE it plausible?
