Well, here goes.

I've been here for an appreciable amount of time, now (seven months, according to my profile). I've had 683 posts, and I have become (or rather, I like to think that I've become) notorious for starting a writing project, writing one or two updates, then abandoning said project. After a bit of thought, I've decided to start a new project-hopefully one that will become a familiar sight on the first page of the forums.

The first update will probaly take a while; I have some background research to do for all three of these options (though on the plus side, this means no "How Could the Infallible Genocide Screw Up So Bad moments") and updating will be slow due to RL issues.

So anyway, here are the descriptions of my three finalists:

Forty Acres and a Mule: America, 1865-2000 Was actually inspired by school (See! Its not fully useless!). Basically, both the title and the PoD are vauge rigt now, but it will be my attempt to take post-ACW Reconstruction as far as it can possibly go. You can expect:

-The end of the Democratic Party (the post-ACW Democrats being my personal Most Hated Political Organization In History)

-Lots of Mary Sueish Social Democracy-wank

-Stuff actually happening in Latin America

-And India. And Africa.

-Teddy Roosevelt being brought down to size

-Lots of (fully plausible) hating on tricolors* and abstract art, the two things that I truly hate in this world

-An amateur trying to write a convincing alternate history of aircraft, military and civilian

-A ridiculously extended Fight Club reference that I'll go witha and hope for the best

Crucible: the Presidency of William Jennings Bryan Has the dashing young man from Nebraska sweeping intot he White House in 1896. Expect to see:

-Points 3, 4, 6, 7 from above

-Reduced American imperialism

-No true single worldwide war

-Spain actually doing something (note: this would also appear in Forty Acres)

-GODDAMN TRICOLORS*

An Unspoiled Eden 3.0 Will be totally reworked with a different PoD and less redundant OTL information. Expect to see:

-Kurt Von Schleicher's Flying Circus!****

-Points one and four from above

-One Veteren AH.Commer appearing in a role somewhat akin to Pascal Schmidt in Look to the West

-On a minor note, Adolf Hitler dies, and the Nazis never get a monopoly on power

-Nukes in the late fifties

-A four-or-five polar world

Hopefully you've been entertained enough to vote/comment...

*Note: Nothing is being said about countries with tricolor flags. I just don't like how countries with the potential for flags with awesomely intricate coats of arms going back centuries duck out with three bands of color.

Note that something is being said about people who splash a couple of buckets of paint on a canvas and declare it Art For The New Generation**

Note: All of these notes can be safely ignored***

***Note: I've watched quite a bit of Monty Python recently

****Note: Se note ***

*****Note: There is no note *****
