For All Mankind (AH Tv series at Apple TV)

Good news indeed. I wonder what it would be about. Colonization of Mars? Travel to Jupiter moons Space Odyssey style (in 2001)?
All these worlds are yours except Europa Attempt No Landing Here who knows if the Chinese get there first as long they didnt got attacked by Alien Life Forms in Europa like in 2010 Odyssey 2.

I didn't like the nepotism in the show. So I already didn't like Danny as an astronaut. And now I feel like everyone's on the same page as me.
Hey, Kelly was not bad at all. And NASA does not make people astronauts by nepotism: I guess both Danny and Kelly underwent the same hard training they all did, and the fact their dads were astronauts is just added prestige. Anyway, Danny is clearly becoming unstable, that is clear, but I do not think is genetic or nepotism-related.

And I kind off hope Kelly will punch him very hard.

The thing is, we have little information in the current development of China in politic and aerospace way; for many years, China was "forced" to act as the URSS best buddy because America saw them that way: is this over, or still going?

Because on that, we could know if the Chinese cosmonauts are working alongside the soviets (that would give them excellent training chance to start up their own space resources, as well as place on the Moon on the soviet side) or going on their own.

So, the idea of a space chinese agency with a dragon logo is extremely cool...but so far, we have too few info to even make hypothesis...

yes because Taikonauts had Modified Type 56 Assault Rifles and CS/LS06 on their combat kit.

Nixon still likely went to China ITTL, and the Sino-Soviet split still happened pre-POD, so I assume that China would be going down a similar path ITTL. Although I think they will likely still grow distant from the US overtime, what with the USSR increasingly adopting their model plus OTL factors.

My old grandpappy maybe never went to no fancy East Coast university, but he always told me, "Grandson," he'd say, "you mind yer Ps and Qs and remember: getting pregnant in space or on a planet with a weak magnetosphere is a rube's game! Don't you let your good lady wife even try it!" If there's one place where I'd be very happy for them to skip past the brutal truth and give us something more uplifting, this would be it.

A much better episode, not as much Danny drama but at least they did try and explain him.

So they are trapped on Mars without landers, opps!

A Baldwin will be first on Mars, but not Ed and not exactly the "first" that was expected!

So, Kelly is pregnant. That's bad: we have no idea how a human being could grow and develop on a planet with less gravity. There is a good guess that his/her body issue, bones and heart will be too weak to allow them on Earth, and considering that right now Mars has just a few manned bases that guarantee habitable space for Humans...this is bad. Like, "Cold Equation" bad.

The first Martianborn, I guess. At least, Ed cannot kill Alexei now...

you think they creating a Martian Colony before Terraforming.

I do believe that a full-functional Mars colony at this time is quite optimistic, as they still have no water supply.

But a human, to grow, needs way more. Born on Mars, can't go to earth. But Mars right now has no place for human to live their whole life...

right sorry just been you know too optimistic.

Yes at the very least they'll need to find a way to get Kelly up to the hotel with it's artificial gravity.

They have no lander to go back to Phoenix so far, and I do not know how feasible is to build a makeshift one. In the worst case, it could take a month, or more. And, we do not know how far gravity affects the growth of a baby: thus, if even a month makes it impossible to move to a more heavy gravitate area...

You know, I do think the only thing that would avoid any sort of White house sex scandal would, in fact, be a martian abortion

Overall though? Probably the stand out episode of the season in my opinion so far, really nailing what, to me, is the best thing about this show, that space is dangerous, and humanity must work together when dealing with it
