In late 1289, Henry IV, the highduke of Poland decided to strengthen his rule in Lesser Poland, he besieges Sandomierz and annexes it completely making Wladyslaw the Elbowhigh weaker and establishes his court in Krakow and instead of focusing on getting the Polish throne he focused on strengthening his rule in Poland rather than to focus on establishing him as the King of Poland, he accompanied his wife Matilda of Brandenburg to Krakow from Wroclaw where in they establish their court.
Matilda of Brandenburg, the wife of Henry IV the highduke of Poland gives birth on October 5, 1290 and names their son Henry in Krakow.
Henry IV the Highduke of Poland finds about the the allegience of Przemysl II of Greater Poland and Henry the Fat to Wenceslaus II of Bohemia and wanted them arrested immediately and because of that Henry IV the Highduke of Poland attacks Przemysl first and with the help of Bolko I of Opole, Przemysl was captured in November 5, 1290 and stripped of his titles and his daughter and wife Richeza of Sweden were banished to Germany, on her arrival, Richeza Elisabeth is betrothed to Louis of Bavaria, a candidate for the Holy Roman Throne when they came to Bavaria, Przemysl II of Greater Poland was executed in November 4, 1290 on the orders of Henry IV.
Mestwin II of Pomerelia dies in January 4,1291 and Wladyslaw the Elbowhigh of Kuyavia inherits Pomerelia from Mestwin II of Pomerelia causing dispute between Poland and Brandenburg.
In February 1291 Wladyslaw the Elbowhigh is killed by the rebelling nobles in Pomerelia which was helped by Brandenburg, Kuyavia with the exception of Inowroclaw which is ruled by the young Casimir II of Inowroclaw were annexed by Henry IV the Highduke of Poland and
Because of this Henry IV the High duke of Poland now had many lands is very powerful and later in March 1291 he had Henry the fat imprisoned in a tower in Wroclaw days without food and later he dies due to this.
