Well, since this may be one of the two designs I'm most proud of for my upcoming 12 Confederate Successors map, here is the Socialist Confederation of Southern Republics! Red stands for struggle, white for peace, gold for a bright future. The eleven stars stand for the eleven republics which have replaced the eleven states (and three territories) of the old CSA.
i absolutely love that hammer and sickle

Flag of the Kingdom Of New Saxony, established in the 1865 after its independence from Great Britain, located in the western coast of the island continent of Australie.

Ruled by the house of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha it’s actual monarch is Elizabeth I.

Have a war flag for the Green Dragon Society I mocked up for my Lemuria concept! Although Lemuria was too far away from Japan to be directly invaded, the Green Dragons were there to pursue Japanese interests during the war. The members of this esoteric paramilitary society, having survived their patron state's post-war restructuring, loudly proclaim themselves the true inheritors of the mantle of the Empire of Japan under their self-declared Shogun Ryūnosuke Akutagawa. The group's flag demonstrates this heritage, a modified Imperial Navy flag containing a green ouroboros representing totality or unity and flame within a star representing the occult "secret fire" the group professed to harness in its rituals. Although the group has never had a deep presence across the entire continent, several reactionary regimes rising out of the postwar decolonization of Lemuria are blatantly abusing laws passed to hinder the group in order to staunch domestic political opposition, especially brutalizing those groups affiliated with the Lovecraft Circle and the Lemurian Commonwealth movement.

Just something for fun, a Korea that is run by a Ba'athist-esque regime in a TL where North Korea wins the Korean War by sheer luck on account of the USA not doing much to help South Korea, only for it to get caught up in a Zhirinosky's Russian Empire-esque incident where the original WPK regime gets challenged by pro-democratic forces only to be taken over by said Ba'athist-like forces in around 1990. It's loosely modeled on the OTL North Korean flag only with red on the background and white stripes on a black rectangle with a tricolor taegeuk in the middle. The pattern of the white stripes is deliberate, modeled after the "Ri" trigram. Frankly I could have the color arrangement of the stripes reversed with them on a white rectangle but I think this is more aesthetically pleasing IMO.

The flag of the USAR in full size. The spade represents agricultural labourers, the pickaxe is for miners and other primary resource industry workers and the cog represents industry. The ring of 13 stars is for the 13 republics of the USAR, with the larger one at the top standing for the union and communism itself.

Why does the Spanish flag has the colors of the second Spanish republic flag in a world where the context of the second Spanish republic flag does not exist?

I'd assume that in a world where the context of the second Spanish republic flag does not exist, those colors are associated with something other than Spanish republicanism.

There was a reason the 2nd Spanish Republic used the purple (red and gold being already older colors used by Spain).
Some other Spanish state could decide on using the Morado on its flag along with the gold and red.

Because, as the others have said, the murrey purple of the Spanish Republic flag is centuries older than that. It was chosen in OTL because it was associated not only with Castile, as correctly said above, but specifically with the Comunero revolt of 1520-21, which the OTL Republic (and the people who made this flag) are choosing to reference, as this version of Spain also arose from a revolt.

Welcome to the Sliding Commonwealth, formerly the Commonwealth of Avalon and Hy-Brasil, a century after the discovery of transfirmamental travel. Under the current Lord Protector the Commonwealth has shifted from a focus on its terrestrial neighbors toward a policy of absorbing alternate versions of the Home Islands, purging them of the twin scourges of Monarchy and Godlessness through fanatical devotion, lightning war and devastating firmament weaponry. The boots of the New Model Army tread across a hundred green and pleasant islands, preparing to expand their Good Old Cause beyond their holdings to bring whole worlds into the service of the New Jerusalem!

This idea started life as a flag for some sort of Nazi program to conquer alternate universes (hence the sealion) and a few radical shifts in concept later this is what I ended up with. I really liked the look of this sea lion symbol for its suggestion of a Stargate-esque portal given the way the tail is shaped, and I tweaked the original Commonwealth flag to better represent the positions of the various constituent parts relative to one another and to give them all relevant crosses for representation, with (clockwise from top left) the crosses of St. Patrick (Ireland), St. Andrew (Scotland), St. George (England) and finally St. David, because there's some universe out there where the Welsh get a fair shake, even if it's as an equal partner in a puritanical totalitarian regime.

The home timeline version of the Commonwealth has sort of a futuristic deiselpunk feel and the Lord Protector is very much in charge, though unlike OTL succession is not hereditary but rather appointed by a conclave of the parliament and the NMA grandees, an innovation that prevented the original Commonwealth of Avalon and Hy-Brasil from falling to an analogue of the Stuart Restoration. Puritanism is the faith of the land but with the sectarian conflicts now centuries in the rearview mirror each of the four Commonwealth nations are equals.

PacificPact.png

Have another one-off! This one's based off of my idea for tweaks to Robert Sobel's For Want of a Nail. This is the flag I came up with for the post-revolutionary "Pacific Pact" of Taiwan, Japan, Westralia and the Philippines. Originally an international alliance created as a legal fig leaf for the Kramer Associates megacorp after it severed the company's lifelong ties with the United States of Mexico and relocated to Taiwan, in the instability following the move a dip in the company's stock price allowed the middle-management of the company, in collaboration with the various Kramer shop unions, to gain control of the company through the policies of Social Capitalism.

I based Social Capitalism on Neiderhofferism, a fictional ideology Sobel created for his book. Given his POD it makes sense that communism and fascism would be butterflied away, but it was odder to me that his fictional ideology never has a big breakthrough in the twentieth century, so I decided to create one while also forcing the frankly ridiculously successful Kramer Associates make more sense in the wake of the exodus from Mexico. Neiderhofferism, as described in the book, revolves around the working class collaborating to purchase ownership of the companies where they work, and given the incredibly complicated shell game Kramer Associates used to prevent the nationalization of their assets in canon it made sense to me that with inside knowledge provided by the frustrated middle-managers, enough workers acting at the same time would be able to exploit that structure to buy up a large portion of stock quickly, given the almost inevitable dip in price that would realistically come from the postwar restructuring. Then the newly empowered part-owners would then be able to use the threat of work stoppages across the company to guarantee themselves a real say on the company board of directors.

In the wake of the so-called Day-Trader Revolt, the Pacific Pact restructured, with the newly-minted national unions of Kramer employees rebranding themselves into Social Capitalist political parties, creating an escalating cycle where Kramer money was used to finance the parties, who in turn leveraged their resulting influence into preferential trade status for the company. This was most clearly seen with the successfully engineered referendum to separate Westralia from the rest of Australia. Using a program begun during the Global War the pact becomes the first nation to successfully deploy an atomic bomb, declaring it a deterrent against renewed Mexican aggression, though given the large number of Kramer citizen-employees within each of the Great Powers many consider an expansion of this policy to be implied.

The symbology of the Pact flag is relatively simple, with the lower half imported directly from the the original Gadsden flag used by Kramer Associates. Despite the flag's ties to the history of the USM it was considered an important symbol of defiance to foreign aggression. The upper half is the flag of Social Capitalism. With the failure of the French Revolution, the Leveller green of the English Civil War became the international color of socialism. The hammer and torch were selected by Neiderhoffer to represent worker cooperation between manual and administrative workers (the hammer and the torch, respectively). The white of the symbol was chosen to represent the peaceful path to worker empowerment offered by Social Capitalism. I basically mirrored and recolored the syndicalist emblem given the focus on worker collaboration to manage industries. As for basic flag dimensions I decided to use the proportions of the OTL Mexican flag.
