Well, they have very good reasons to be "absolute fucking lunatics". Given the circumstances.
As much as they would rip my guts out for being a "filthy G*rm beast", I'd say that they are more rational than Mr. Funny clock man and Mr. I don't want to set the world on fire guy.

Flag of Republic of Chad (1977-Present).png

An alternate flag for Chad based on elements from its current OTL coat of arms.

I am also using this in a timeline project I am doing.
In that ATL it's backstory is as follows (note: POD in 1910-1914):
The green coloured arrows in the corners of the canton is the symbol of the main big-tent centre party of the country the National Entente. That party was founded after a failed coup in 1960, when the two main parties in the country, the Chadian Democratic Union and the Chadian Republican Party merged. The NE dominated the country until a successful coup in 1966 when an Islamist movement took over. In 1973 that movement was defeated and NE was back in power however 2 other major groups had become influential during the conflict against the Islamist and so in 1977 the flag was changed into this one which incorporated symbols of all 3. National Entente remains an important party but is not as dominant as it was in its original 6 year reign.
The red dawn/sunrise was the symbol of the Socialist Action Party of Chad whose leadership was the only one still operating in Chad during the 66-73 civil war against the Islamists. It similarly continues as the most influential left wing party in Chad.
The blue and gold waves represents the Lake Chad. It was used as the flag of the "United Front" during the war. Consisting of the Chadian Progressive Party (pan-african, anti-imperialist and social-democratic), Union for the Republic (centre-right, generally pro capitalist European world order), Democratic Alliance for Progress (pro-democracy, mostly non-ideological). Have generally been overshadowed by NE and SAP, mostly due to being divided three-ways.

Thats a really interesting design if I have to say so myself. Although I wonder what a fascist flag in the non-nazi sense would be like, more Canadian focused / anti-American, etc

Not sure how to represent "anti-american" feeling. A fascist canadian party might adopt a stylised maple leave or use some locally relevant symbol like animals (wolf, moose, beaver) something related to the party's name

Maybe they could use a bear or something of that nature, since bears are ferocious.

Hello again, and welcome to another one of WhiteDragon25's Flag Posts! Today I have eight flags to share, two of them conventional nation-state flags, and six that are UN-conventional "International Zone" flags! …Get it? Because UN, as in United Nations? …Yes, I know, my jokes are terrible. Moving on:

The first two flags here are for the Sahel Federation and the Levantine Federal Republic, the designs of which I recreated from the "Formable Nations" mod's... well, formable nations' flags you get when you form the "Sahel" and "Levant" when your ideology is Democratic. The Levantine Federal Republic's flag was actually somewhat difficult to recreate, as I had to work off what I could see of the in-game flag's image, which is much smaller than the 900x600px image you get from me. This was the best approximation I could determine, but I think it works out pretty well for its intended theme of a Levant that has its three principle home religions - Judaism, Christianity, and Islam - peacefully coexisting in the same country.

Speaking of that...

The first of my six UN International Zone-themed flags happens to be for Jerusalem: where the rest of the Israel and Palestine is unified as a single federalized state, Jerusalem is specifically excluded from being either side's sovereign territory and instead is an UN-administered International Zone freely accessible to all Jews, Christians, and Muslims equally, which is represented in the flag here by the Lion of Juda (representing the physical city itself) holding up a flag itself, which has the three symbols of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam combined together (incidentally in the same pattern as on the LFR flag seen above) in the white-and-blue UN colors signifying peace.

Next we have a flag for an International Zone on the other side of the world - which, as you might've already guessed from the design, is for the Panama Canal.

Now going back to the Mediterranean, this next flag is for the Suez Canal International Zone. The design here is inspired by the city of Suez's actual flag, with the flame replaced with the wavy line representing water.

Still in the neighborhood of the Mediterranean (but now on the other side), we have the flag for the UN International Zone of the Strait of Gibraltar, encompassing both sides of the strait on the Iberian Peninsula and Morocco. The symbolism here is twofold: the two mountains jutting out of the water facing across from each other represent the "Pillars of Hercules", the name of the straits from ancient times; and the castle with a key hanging on it is from the real-life flag of the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar.

The second-to-last flag here is for the UN International Zone of the Turkish Straits, otherwise known as the Bosporus Strait and the Dardanelles Strait. The symbolism here comes from the flag of the International Straits Commission, an agency that was operated by the UN's predecessor the League of Nations, from 1923 until the 1936 Montreux Convention.

Lastly, here we have the flag of the UN International Zone of the Strait of Hormuz, the waterway that crosses between Iran and Oman, which is represented here by their national symbols on opposite sides of a waterway. Though now that I think about it, in the custom alt-history map I made all these in mind for, Oman no longer exists as a separate country anymore, now being a part of the Kingdom of Hashemite Arabia, so really, using the Omani national emblem here is really inaccurate... Eh, I'll fix it later...

Anyways, that's all that I have for now. Until next time!

Unless the Islamic Revolution has happened the Iranian emblem makes little sense either. At least with Oman you could use history argument. Without the Islamic Revolution the symbol of Iran would probably be Lion and Sun.

It still happened in my alt-history map, so Iran's fine. Besides, I don't have an Iranian Lion & Sun overlay to use in Flag Maker.😛

Flag of the United Democratic Republic of Sri Lanka. The 3 primary colours symbolism is as OTL, Green for Sri Lankan Moors/Muslims, Orange for Tamils/Hindus and Maroon for Sinhalese/Buddhists. White is for peace and coexistence.

This Sri Lanka is somewhat different from OTL. It is more democratic and less Sinhalese/Buddhist centrist.

British Ceylon became a Dominion in 1924 as a part of granting of Dominion status to many Colonies of the British Empire as Britain itself had fallen to far-Left revolutionaries. This Dominion of Ceylon was invaded and annexed by the Indian Federation in 1948. The island got its independence back in 1977 and the United Democratic Republic of Sri Lanka was established.

I don’t think a democratic Sri Lanka will adopt that flag. It will actually create even more ethnic tension. Opposition politicians will stir up majority Sinhalese with comments such as “this government trying to erase Sinhalese history of thousands of years by removing the lion from our historical flag, they put the Muslim and Tamil colours before Sinhalese etc etc”. I’ve personally heard these kind of talk growing up in Sri Lanka my whole life. They are quite petty like that and people will eat it up and vote the government out of power since it is a democracy and majority will be in power if elections were fair due to simple statistics. with 75% Sinhalese who were not the privileged group during foreign occupation will care more about their selfish needs than that of the minorities who were the privileged groups during those same foreign occupations. Historically, governments won elections easily by using this ethnic divide (1956 election was won by Bandaranaike with the promise of making Sinhala only national and official language) and British used the same divide to keep the island pacified during their occupation.

You could try combining an Iranian sun with the Hashemite seven-pointed star. Gives it a celestial body motiff.

I don't have an Iranian Sun overlay either; I have a regular seven-pointed star, but I'm not sure if the Hashemite Star is any different. Maybe I'll make a request for them in the Graphics Request Thread.
