Well Wessex unified England, right? So there would still be a West Saxon dominated England, just like OTL. Thus Anglo (England) and Saxon (Old Saxony).

Except that the Gold Wyvern doesn't represent England but Wessex. It barely represents the Saxons in Britain - note that Kent has its own white horse.
I know I'm being overly pedantic at your pun flag but it really bugs me with the whole Wessex = England thing.
Sadly I couldn't find the White Wyvern on the website where I got the Saxon steed. Otherwise I would have used the white one.
Flag of the loquiminist Republic of New Philippines, formed after the Spanish Collapse of the 1830s, which indirectly saw the rise of the loquiminist Republic of Miranda-California to becoming one of the Great Powers of the World. The Republic is one of the most religious nations within the Americas, with over 90% saying that religion has a strong influence in their life. Oddly enough, however, they are also one of the most socially liberal in the Americas, being the second to legalize gay marriage, the first being the Duchy of Righavn (Denmark-Norway), in 1960. The blue stands for the Ocean, and the Link between all nations, The red stands for the Blood and Sacrifice of the People of New Philippines, the White stands for Peace and Honor, and the symbol stands for the Sun shining on Humanity, and the Heritage of the Exiled Filipinos (after the Japanese Invasion in 1860), which nowadays make up nearly 30% of the New Philippines nation, the second highest, after the 'Americanos' (with 35%).
As mentioned in the older post Republic of China reclaimed mainland after the World War 3 (2111-2114). In the following 3rd Interwar Era China had colonized around the Argyre basin on Mars (In anticipation for terraformation and it turning into a sea). These Chinese colonies would be annexed by the European Federation after the 2nd Orbital War (2217-2222). After this war the 2nd Republic of China was established. The 2nd Republic would go on the colonize the Tellus Regio on Venus (later the Tellus Archipelago). 2nd Republic of China was, for centuries, a stable nation and an important member of the Venus Treaty Organisation. China would let go of its Venusian colonies in the 27th Century. These colonies would become a part of the (Ishtar based) North Venusian Republic. It was the 2687-2707 Hermetic War (the (Mercury based) State of Hermes' great campaign against the rest of the Solar System, the last gasp of the Legionary group of Ideologies) that was the death of the 2nd Republic. Much of China itself would be occupied Legions of Hermes, along with much of Earth, Luna and Mars. Venus itself was also invaded but the Turkic Federation's Venusian Republic and Japan's Venusian core were both almost untouched with the Hermetic Legions passing Venus by on their charge towards Earth and Mars and attacking Venus much later than rest of the Inner System (and almost the same time as the Outer System in general). This lead to both the Outer System and the Aphrodite based Venusian powers (Republic of Venus in the Turkic Federation and the Venusian prefectures of Japan) becoming the strongest powers in the Solar System. The Inner System outside of Venus being devastated and large parts Venus outside the main continent of Aphrodite similarly effected.
After the end of the Hermetic War the (1st) Interregnum has started. Many of the Lunar habitats were destroyed while the more than a century long unity of Luna has ended. On Earth around half of China was still occupied by the Legions of Hermes on Earth. 2nd Republic of China had ended. On Earth a 3rd Republic was established with more or less direct continuity to the 2nd. While the 3 century old Martian Congressional Republic (which had completely unified Mars by 2666) still existed in the early Interregnum Mars as a whole was fragmented into 8 separate states (also Martian orbit was under Hermetic control even during the early Interregnum until they all ran out of food, water and oxygen). One of the sates founded in Mars during the Interregnum was the 3rd Republic of China. Founded by ethnic Chinese living around the Argyre Sea. Their flag was based more on the Flag of the 1st Republic (current day flag of Taiwan) rather than the 2nd.

Here's a flag of the Kingdom of Cuba ruled by Leopold de Hohenzollern. In this TL, Carlists won the eponymous war in the 1830's and Isabelle flees to Cuba with the aime to found a kingdom and government in exile. In the 1860's, institutional political crises, corruption cases, plus the sale of Puerto Rico to the United States, although distant, led to her downfall. In 1870, Juan Prim proposed to the Catholic prince Leopold of Hohenzollern to be King of Cuba. He will economically advance the island through aid for sugar plantations, promoting tourism there and establishing certain industries.
Eugh... Give me the original instead, or even the gold leaf design.
How's this? I've added in the required text - wasn't too sure whether to have it in white or gold, but I thought gold tied in with the centre of the magnolia better.That one's honestly beautiful.
I'd go so far as to suggest you'd send it to whatever committee the state of Mississipi is having on the state flag issue at the moment.
It might sound silly to be so bold and submit this design, but maybe they'd love your idea.
I'm really not a fan of writing on flags, but at least the criteria doesn't include having the word "Mississippi" on it as well!

Flag of British Sardinia
The Crown Colony of Sardinia was officially established on 18 September 1927 with the signing of the Treaty of Cagliari, which ended the Italian Civil War and brought about the end of the unified Italian state. Shifting geopolitics and the dissolution of old alliances placed British maritime control in the Mediterranean in peril. British projection of power depended on Gibraltar and Malta, two isolated and territorially small colonies, which would be essentially indefensible in the case of war. Britain needed a new foothold in the Mediterranean, a "watchtower in guard".
Between 1927 and 1932, British Sardinia was administered from Malta. The two colonies were, during this brief period, amalgamated into the "Crown Colony of the Maltese Islands and Sardinia", also known as the "British Mediterranean Islands". This state of affairs ended with the establishment of a local government in Cagliari, led by Governor-General Harold Alexander, 1st Earl Alexander of Cagliari. Unlike other British colonial possessions, Sardinia was initially devoid of any meaningful self-determination. Such was the island's military value that the Admiralty in London conducted many of Sardinia's affairs, alongside the Governor-General. Many of Britain's policies were directed at making Sardinia culturally and linguistically distinct from the rest of Italy, as to dissuade any irredentist ideas. The Sardinian language became the only one taught in schools, alongside English, and everything from public signs to government documents were written in said form. Many Sardinians abandoned Italian, since speaking it was a palpable social disadvantage.
British influences were well-received by Sardinia. In 1954, with great encouragement from British officials, the Football Association of Sardinia was formed, just three years after the Cricket Federation of Sardinia. In 1946, the Historical Foundation of Sardinia was established to preserve and advance Sardinia's history, culture, and geography; in 1953 it founded the Royal Historical Museum in Cagliari, the largest and most important on the island. Customs such as tea time, horse racing, and parliamentary politics were also absorbed into Sardinia. This profound adoption of British manners and ways made Sardinia one of the most loyal colonies in the Empire, despite the evident lack of autonomy for Sardinians.
However, the British failed to fully displace Italian culture from Sardinia. A vast majority of the population still spoke Italian in an informal basis, and Italian culture was very much prevalent. This led to the formation of a hierarchy in which ethnic Sardinians and British nationals sat at the top, and the Italians underneath. They were essentially treated as second-class citizens within their own homeland. Attempts at equality ended in incarceration and exile for several Italians. Initially small, bands of radicals would form and violently oppose British occupation. For many years, these impact of these guerrillas was minimal. It was only after British control dragged on and Sardinia's economy stagnated that many started to see the colonial authorities with contempt. As attempts at obtaining freedom democratically failed, many turned to armed struggle. Italian revolutionary forces swole in strength and outreach, permeating the people of Sardinia and displacing the British as the most relevant source of authority in the colony.
