Ah, a bit vague.
I assume a far more integrated "British" Ireland, maybe no rupture between England and Hiberno-Norman domination.

Let's give it a try, using most ancient Irish heraldy (Lordship of Ireland, and one of the old gaelic banners).
The mural crown symbolizes the republic, and the star the fact it's on the north.

A double-counter challenge, because 1) I want to get another counter-challenge and 2) I want to see your interpretation of the following:

Country/Entity: People's Republic of Transamur
Government/Political System: Unitary Single-Party Socialist Republic
Era/Year: 1920s onward
Other details: a Soviet satellite similar to Mongolia and Tannu Tuva, but located in northern Manchuria, thus being culturally very mixed (Altaic, Han and traditional Manchus being dominant cultures).

I'm not too convinced about it, to be honest.
Red for sucializm, gold for Manchuria, Blue for Amur.
I wish I knew a bit about Han or Manchu to try something less 50's looking.

Country/Entity: Mandate of Patagonia
Government/Political System: International United Nations Mandate with local involvement (both Native and Argentine of Patagonia)
Era/Year: Late 1980's
Other details: Skippy the ASB made Argentine after the Falklands wars being hugely defeated, and Patagonian natives strong enough to claim independence. UN intervenes to prevent bloodshed, and a Patagonian state is established

Here's a flag I made a while back of a state with a similar name, the Transamur People's Socialist Republic, except that it was an ethnically Russian state centred on Vladivostok which emerged out of a Russian Civil War that went a bit differently. It weathered a Japanese invasion in 1940 and participated in the Korean War on the side of Lyuh Woon Hyung's People's Republic of Korea, while under Commissariat Chairman Nikodim Galkin it successfully industrialized and became a major naval power. It currently has good relations with the USSR, the PRC, the PRK, and the Republic of Japan and is a leader in East Asia.
