Well this is a surprise! I actually have more than two flags to showcase tonight: seven in total! ...Okay, correction: two new new flags, the other five flags are all for Brazil, two of them are literally the same flag with just one little difference, another two are just rehashes of my previous Fascist/Communist Brazil flags to standardize with the 'new' flag, and the remaining one was apparently a flag I created a long time ago but oddly enough never did upload to my Imgur album... but anyways! Onto the presentation:

First off, the two new new flags, both of which are continuations to my running "Random Fascist/Communist Flag Designs" series:

Flag #1 here is "Random Communist Flag #12", a Soviet-esque flag design that I threw together based on some flag design I came across somewhere (I think) while browsing the Kaiserreich Subreddit - some sort of fan-made propaganda poster for the Union of Britain or the Combined Syndicates of America, I think, not sure which. I tried finding the original post where I saw it, but never could find it. Eh, doesn't really matter.

EDIT: I think I found the artwork that inspired this design; turns out, it was on deviantART, not on r/Kaiserreich. It also turns out that my design wasn't even close to the emblem design found on that artwork's background flag. Eh, mine's still good (if not better) all the same.

Flag #2 here is "Random Fascist Flag #7", something I just threw together with the "Ice March Badge" logo used by Boris Savinkov in the Kaiserreich HoI4 mod. This design is something of an oddity as a Fascist flag given its usage of red, white, and blue as its major colors (a color combination not normally associated with Fascism in general), and it is also a notable deviation from most of my other flags given that it's a saltire design, something that I've rarely used in my various flag designs, strangely enough.

With those two additions to the Random series out of the way, let's move on to the rest of the flags for tonight, which are all for Brazil:

First up for the Brazil flags, a new redesign of the IRL Brazilian flag, which is actually a recreation of a flag found on - you guessed it - r/Vexillology; there's only minute differences between the one found on Reddit and the one I made here, leaving aside that I made two versions of the same design, one matching the original Reddit flag (the top one), and one that adds a diagonal banner across the center (the bottom one). I added the banner in the bottom one because I felt that it had a little too much empty space, and I decided to add in the banner to give it back some of the original IRL flag's flavor. Either one works, however, so which one you think is better is up to personal preference.

The next Brazil flag is just an adjustment to the Integralist Brazil flag, merely resizing the diamonds and the circles to match the proportions of the new Democratic Brazil flags just seen above. Nothing much to add here, so moving on.

Next up is the opposite counterpart to the Integralist Brazil flag, the Brazilian Socialist Republic flag. Again, the main thing I've done here was adjust the proportions of the diamond and circle to match the previous two(/three) flags, but as you can obviously tell, the biggest difference to the old version is that I've completely revamped the center emblem and omitted the laurel wreath, both changes being made due to some issues I've come across while attempting to reconcile the design with the previously-mentioned flags. The center emblem needed some updating anyways, so it was a worthwhile expenditure of time.

The last flag for tonight is something of a bonus, as it's another Communist Brazil flag - or rather, a Syndicalist Brazil flag, as it's a recreation of the flag of the United Communes of Brazil from Kaiserreich. Funny story about this one: I've actually had this one sitting in my Flag Maker folder for a while now, I've just never gotten around to exporting the .flag file into a .png image; I've apparently forgotten it existed for months after I first created it, and only now just noticed it while reviewing my archived flags. I just needed to make a few minor edits to it (namely, resize the circles and Syndie logo to fit in the circle of stars), and voila!

Well, that's it for tonight's flags. Most of it was just rehashing some old flags, but it was good to do this again so soon. Until next time!

Guess what guys! The creator the American Totalists Mod for Kaiserreich wanted to ask my permission to use some of my flags for his mod! To celebrate, here's some flags I've made recently in my spare time:

The first two flags are, incidentally, inspired by a couple of Focus Tree icons from Kaiserreich; while I can't find any direct images of the focus icons themselves, you can pretty easily find their obvious inspirations from the Polish Focus Tree in-game, to state one convenient example. Otherwise, you'll just have to do a little digging to find the exact focus icons, but they should be pretty easy to spot once you know the common elements involved:

The first design here is what I call the "Libertarian Socialism" flag, inspired by the Focus icon featuring a black-red star with gold trim, and raised fist of solidarity. The same design also features in the Fuhrerreich mod as the ideology icon for Libertarian Socialism, hence the name I gave it.

The second flag here is what I call the "Authoritarian Socialism" flag, inspired by the Focus icon featuring the Syndicalist Torch, Gear, & Gear (as opposed to the traditional Hammer & Sickle I used here), a Red Star, a circle of chains, and a sword. The Focus icon used as inspiration is often used in-game to represent certain National Focuses that relate to creating some sort of socialist secret-police or something, like is most evident in the Combined Syndicates of America focus tree where you can either create the OSS (if you go RadSoc or Syndie) or the CIA (if you go Totalist). Obviously, this sort of imagery and association lends itself well to the moniker of "Authoritarian Socialism", an umbrella term that many Kaiserreich-style mods opt for to represent socialist ideologies outside of just Marxist-Leninist/Stalinist Communism.

Lastly, we have my own recreation of the "Grain and Gear" flag used by the American Party of Labor, a present-day Communist party; their flag, incidentally, is also present in Kaiserreich as the flag used by either of the Totalist paths (Browder or Foster) for the Combined Syndicates of America. Which kinda fits, given that the APL is a Marxist-Leninist party of the Stalinist/Hoxhaist bent, and actually traces its origins to Foster himself.

That's it for today's flags, so check out the American Totalists Mod by Clothcoat, who goes by Seirbhiseach on Steam! Until next time!:)

EDIT: Turns out, the two flags Clothcoat/Seirbhiseach credited to me weren't actually made by me to begin with: he apparently came across my old Flag Thread on SB, saw the second-from-bottom flag in this post, and the last flag in this post, and assumed I was the original creator, not realizing the disclaimer mentioning that I did not actually create them, but rather found them from random internet-browsing.

That said, I offered to create for him some genuine flags from me, as recompense for the misunderstanding.

Okay, so as I promised in my previous post, I worked out some flag designs for Clothcoat's American Totalists Mod, and I want to share them here to see what the overall response would be, and see if I can get some feedback and suggestions for improvements. I have three sets of designs here, with two versions for each one (one with the traditional 50 Star count, and the other with a 48 Star count, as I realized that Alaska and Hawaii weren't states yet in 1936 when Kaiserreich takes place, and the former gets annexed by Canada while the latter goes independent, so a Totalist!USA wouldn't have them):

Nice! I like the designs although do you think the circles for the UASR and AST would look better without the white outline and the ASVR should maybe have a different color for the chain (perhaps black or red)?

The rule of tincture generally governs which colors can and cannot touch, and while there are exceptions to the rule, normally this is followed to the letter: changing the chain to black or red is unfeasible, as the resulting color combinations would clash against each other and not look very good. There's an additional rule in flag-design that says you should limit the number of colors used on a flag to about two or three; there's some leeway for four or five colors depending on the design, but overall sticking to two or three keeps the flag to a recognizable color scheme and prevent it from looking too busy. So adding black to the already-present red, white, blue, and gold in the ASVR flag would make it stand out poorly for being out-of-place (black works for the AST flag because it doesn't clash against too many other colors, and it's needed to separate the white yin-yang section from the white gear).

The white outlines for the circles are there for similar reasons, as they help make the blue stand out more against the red-white repeating stripes.

Sounds good like I've said before I have almost no talent for art :\

Your flags will definitely be in the upcoming update!

On a related note, can you pass on to the KR devs this flag design for the Pelleyist AUS I made last year? I've seen several people on the KR Subreddit attempt a redesign for the NatPop AUS flag, but none of them so far have particularly satisfied me. As for the AUS in general, I have another old design lying around that they could use as well.

Of course, and if you'd like I can include it in the submod at some point as well. Though it's worth noting I'm not close to the Dev team at all, we might have more luck if the next time I post art I include it.

IOTL, Musollini proposed the creation of a Jewish state in Northwestern Ethiopia as a solution to the "Jewish Problem". The area was already the homeland of the Beta Israeli people, a large group of Ethiopian Jews who were oppressed under fascist rule. In our timeline, his plans were never realized after the Italians were kicked out of Africa and the specter of fascism was slain by the Allied Powers. But what if...

I couldn't find a way to organically incorporate the Star of David into this flag without removing the fasces or the Lion of Judeah. If anyone would like to redesign this flag, please feel free to do so.

How about adding a new strap to the fasces and putting the Star of David on that? Wrap it around the middle and slap it on, and there you go.

Anyways, got some flags here today, though nothing particularly new, just the first two being slight revisions of my Gran Colombian Socialist Republic flags, and the third being a revamp of my Plurinational Republic of Bolivia flag:

Could you imagine going to war with this tribe and being faced with a banner that has this angry guy on it flanked by weapons, and his face just has this expression like "you just made a big mistake"

A pretty basic Saudirip flag of my Chinese regime that is inspired by the Taiping Rebellion. This Chinese kingdom came to overthrow the Zhi Dynasty in 1878 after many European and American missionaries came to Shanghai and Taizhou. A few years later, the Church of China was established, originally meant to be a non-denominational church that would be impartial between each doctrine (Catholic, East Orthodox, Anglican, Protestant, etc.). The converts were mostly peasants, but a significant portion of the Zhi bureaucracy also converted. In the Imperial Council, 1/3 of its members were part of the Church of China, creating a politically powerful entity. Soon, within 15 years after the mass arrival of Christianity, about 180 million Chinese profess membership to the Church of China, and 15 million are outside of the Church but in denominational sects (mainly Calvinist and Orthodox). A demonymic term was bestowed on the new converts, being the Mingming (translated for "Christened").

Tensions between the Mingming and the Zhi government began with the Imperial Council. Disagreements with members on how to implement social reforms came to a heated standstill in 1899. Civil war erupted when about 150 divisions calling themselves part of the Church of China separated from the Zhi army to attack core military outposts and take over after rumors of Zhi generals planning a Mingming genocide circulated. The outposts they chose to attack had large Mingming populations where they can be recruited to join the rebellion. Soon, 50 million Mingming peasants and soldiers began marching to attack more Zhi outposts. The core purpose of the rebellion changed from protecting themselves towards creating a new state where it will overthrow the Zhi and build a new holy land. The leader of the rebellion, General Nianzhen Zu, a fanatic of the Church of China, marched with 10 million soldiers of the Mingming army to Beijing, and sieged the city until the Zhi government surrendered in 1909. General Zu crowned himself King in the Heavenly Kingdom of China, otherwise known as the Mingming Empire. A splinter of the Zhi escaped the city to go to Formosa before going to Guangzhou to prop up a new regime in Southern China with the help of the British. The civil war led to a massive power vacuum, one where the Russian Empire, about to be bombarded by a modernized Japanese force, would take Mongolia, Lower Manchuria, and Uyghuristan to be assimilated into their sphere of influence. Despite this expansion, Russia would never acquire these puppets again after the empire dissolved in 1917 after the Great War. The Russian National People's Right (shortened to Natnapravo in the Russian translation) party in the Russian Federation took power and implemented the Empire of all Russia (Second Russian Empire), otherwise known as the Natnapravo Empire.

In World War Two, a modernized Heavenly Kingdom was attacked by the Natnapravos, who desired to retake the puppet states from the north. The Heavenly Kingdom was mostly victorious in an offensive campaign when they pushed the Russians west through Siberia and Central Asia. A standstill happened as the supply lines grew thin and the offensive frontline had to slow down before they could take Omsk. The winter of 1941 stopped the front altogether, as mobilized infantry and armor bunked down in the snow-ridden wasteland. While the Russians had a successful offensive in Eastern Europe, pushing the Germans back to the Elbe River, the campaign in Asia had mostly been unsuccessful, but the Japanese Empire had been a good distraction for the Chinese as the war progresses. A turnaround in the war came when French Indian forces made their way to the Aral Sea, opening a window for the Chinese to continue their offensive. With more victory after victory, the war was won. The Conference of Prague, where the Allies began talks of how to divide the broken Natnapravo Empire, was mostly cold. The Chinese simply said they will take Siberia, which would extend to have borders with traditional Russian lands at the Ural Mountains, as well as the former Russian puppets, and annex Lower Manchuria.

The Heavenly Kingdom of China boasted the largest army in the world by the time the war ended, with over 10 million conscripted soldiers and 7 million volunteers. Due to a doctrine to have cheap, capable equipment that can easily be repaired, such as its infamous Type-100 light tank, which is responsible for the Chinese' speedy offenses, the army has infamously crossed entire countries in a matter of days, at most weeks. Chinese invasion of Yunnan proved that. With China's modernization, the country has become the most fearsome in the world that would be a very bitter and chewy morsel to devour.

Came across some flags over on deviantART that gave me some inspiration, so here's three new flags to share today!

The first two here are for the united Benelux trio (Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg), one being the default Democratic version, and the other being the Communist version; both flags' layout were inspired by this flag found on deviantART, the differences being the top and bottom color bars being swapped around, and the red/blue colors being a mixture of the three/two countries (I can give a more in-depth explanation of my methodology if anyone is curious).

The Democratic flag is named the "United Benelux Commonwealth", featuring the region's signature mascot animal, the Lion.

The Communist flag is named the "Workers' Republic of the Low Countries", sticking much more closely to the dA flag's design overall (especially with the name, obviously), along with the Hammer & Anvil logo design (fun fact: in a case of parallel/convergent evolution, I also had the same logo idea which you can see over in the Graphics Thread. Great minds think alike!).

The third and final flag here is a Communist version of my East African Federation flag, again taking inspiration from the same deviantART artist for the overall design concept, but with me taking some creative liberties to differentiate the design:

This "East African Socialist Federation" flag differs from the dA flag in that I added in the blue that is present in the Democratic EAF flag, and replaced the star with the Fist & Gear logo design that's been featured prominently in several of my previous Communist African flags. I tried my best to incorporate all the colors used on the EAF flag (red, yellow, green, blue, black, and white) but I wasn't able to get all six into the design in a balanced fashion that satisfied me, so I had to reduce the white to just an outline for the Gear & Fist. That aside, though, I think it turned out pretty well.

That's all I have to share for today, so until next time!
