Rather hard as the sun symbol suggests 1800s but the dominance of English over Scottish Arms suggests no Stuart inheritance so has to be late 16th.

Well, you're right on the 1800s (1806-07 to be precise)

After stumbling across a Georgian political party named Girchi, which uses a pine cone as its symbol, I immediately associated it with the Pacific Northwest, so I incorporated it into an alternate flag for the state of Washington. Very simple design, in terms of proportions similar to Texas' state flag.

You should know how it goes by now: more flags to present, yadda yadda:

First flag here: the West Indies Federation, which was a short-lived union of British Caribbean colonies from 1958 to 1962. This is technically just an update on an older version I made a long time ago, so I wouldn't really call it 'new'.

On the same note, the next flag here is for the Caribbean Community, a supranational organization meant to foster economic integration and cooperation among its members across the Caribbean. Again, I had an older version of this flag, but I decided to replace it with a new one that was more accurate to the IRL flag.

To complete the Caribbean theme, here's a flag for a Caribbean Union, in which (almost) all of the Caribbean islands are united under a single government (excluding Cuba and Hispaniola); you can assume that it's an ATL evolution/merger of both the West Indies Federation and the Caribbean Community. And again, this is an older flag of mine, a copy of a design I found somewhere but can't remember where, but it's such a good design that it didn't really need any changes made to it.

Moving across the pond for a little bit, here's a recreation of the original proposal for the Republic of Nigeria's flag, before the contest judges removed the sun badge on it to get the Nigerian flag that we see today. I have no idea why they removed it, as it gave the flag a bit of character and flavor that made it stand out from the designs of its neighbors.

Further west from Nigeria, here's my take on the flag of the Central African Empire under the rule of 'Emperor' Bokassa I... well, technically, it was his 'Imperial Standard' but who's going to fuss about that detail? Besides, Bokassa's original design is... well... not really good. It's not horrible, truthfully, but it feels kinda lazily done, with both the eagle and the sun sharing the same yellow color with only a black outline distinguishing the eagle from the sun behind it... yeah, it had something going for it, but flubbed it with the lack of colors. Hence, why I dropped the black outlines and replaced them with a red disc to break up the yellow.

Going south to the Congo Basin, here's my take on the People's Republic of the Congo - and to be clear, this is Congo-Brazzaville, not Congo-Kinshasa... well, according to OTL, anyways: my personal alt-history map has both the RotC and the DRotC merged together as one United Republic of the Congo (plus the Central African Republic/Empire and several other Equatorial Africa states), so there really isn't much of a difference to be had here, hence my addition of the green-blue diagonal band to make that clear.

Now the difficult part for me is figuring out how to merge together the eclectic political histories of the Republic of the Congo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the Central African Republic into one coherent timeline...

Anyways, that's all for now. Until next time!

Better than your original, though I prefer the OTL one as the waves accent around the sun.

I do prefer the otl one with its curvier letters. Sorry!

    Very nice!
Even works if you make the central line white.
    Yeah, I agree.

    Much better!
An alternative was making the eagle black.

I'd lighten the blue stripe for better contrast with the red and green.

All in all, another good outing!

Flag Maker has its limitations, so I can't really do anything there.

I tried using a lighter blue, but I found it too eye-searing to for me to use, so I went with a shade that's easier on the eyes. I could try again though...

Just tested it out, found it not as good as the current design. Nice suggestion, though.

A proposal for a Flag of the Hispanicity, this flag displays:
-The Cross of Burgundy (ensign of the Hispanic Monarchy)
-The coat of arms of the Catholic Monarchs, the monarchs that unified the crowns of Aragon and Castile, thus creating Spain
-The Pillars of Hercules with the motto "Plus Ultra" (Further Beyond)
-The two hemispheres of the Earth (Referring to "Spanish of both hemispheres" as was stated in the Cádiz Constitution of 1812)
-The sun of Inti with the date of 1492 in Roman numerals
-The three crosses of the Flag of the Race, referring to the three ships that reached America (La Niña, La Pinta y La Santa María)

Some new flags tonight: nothing much, just all Fascist/Nationalist flags, two for Africa and one for South America. Let's start with the former:

This one here is for a Nationalist Mozambique, and... that's about it, really. Truth be told, I just lazily copied the design from HoI4's roster of flags. Of course, Paradox's flag designs are really lazy in general anyways, so... meh?:idontcare:

This one here is, like the one before, just a lazy recreation of a HoI4 flag - this time for a Nationalist Algeria. Well, technically, the name I have for it is Waṭaniyy Algeria. Fun fact: The modern Arabic language actually has two distinct words which can be translated into English as "nationalism": qawmiyya قومية, derived from the word qawm (meaning "tribe, ethnic nationality"), and wataniyya وطنية, derived from the word watan (meaning "homeland, native country"). *Definitions lazily brought to you by plagiarizing Wikipedia.* The latter term is what is used here, being specifically for Algerian nationalism called "Algerianism".

Now, for tonight's only South American entry:

National Vanguard Chile! And surprisingly, although the base inspiration does show up in HoI4, it turns out the flag this one is based on does exist, along with the fascist party it belonged to: the National Socialist Movement of Chile, and later, its successor the Popular Socialist Vanguard (of which the HoI4 name of Fascist Chile is derived from). Yes, Chile had its own Nazis, the group being founded in 1932 and aped many points of the German Nazi platform, but gradually moved towards a more indigenous form of fascism over its short lifespan; the party met its demise in 1938 after they tried to coup the government... and failed, hard. What was left of the Nacistas (the nickname given to them) went on to form a successor party, the Popular Socialist Vanguard, but it lived an even shorter lifespan than its predecessor, barely obtaining 2.5% of the vote in the 1941 legislative elections (having two deputies elected), before they sputtered out and dissolved the next year in 1942.

That's everything for tonight. Sorry it was short, but I'm pretty much reaching for flag designs at this point.:confounded: Hopefully I'll have more next time!

After the fall of England to the Nazis, and the invasion and occupation of Australia and New Zealand, the United States, along with the USSR, a fellow allied power, would both manage to liberate Australia in a form similar to that of Korea, splitting the country between the US (The East) and the USSR (The West).
The effects of this deal would have unforeseen effects.
    2560px-Flag_of_Australia_(converted).svg.png
The Democratic States of Australia. The DSA, also nicknamed "Blue Australia" became a democracy, independent of the fallen monarchy, forming a closer relation to the United States of America, becoming a key player throughout the Cold War, and the War on Terror.
In 1999 Julie Bishop is sworn in as the first female president of Australia, and would go on to win the next two elections afterwards.
    SE Australia..png
The Socialist Allied States of Australia. The Allied States (Also nicknamed Red Australia) are as close to the Soviet Union as the DSA is close to the United States.
Their loyalty is almost without question, and is considered one of the many reasons why the Cold War lasted into the 21st Century, and evolved into the devastating War on Terror.
    SE Australia 2..png
In the early 2000's, the Allied States would see Jim Silas appointed as Head of the Allied States, and oversee a seemingly powerful regime change.
Silas promised his people, as well as the rest of the world that this would be a change for the better, and that the old Allied States was gone.
He even aloud foreign bands, including The Beatles to perform, and changing the countries flag.

    • System of Government: Feudal Plutocracy
    • Head of State: Count, elected by the Chamber of Commerce from the Feudal Houses
    • Population: 828,000
    • Religion: Non-Denominational
    • Totemic Symbol: Buffalo

Genesee County has risen to a place of respectable power from its humble origins. Positioned as it was between the major cities of Rochester and Buffalo, Genesee played the two off against each other and eventually overtook both in the wake of New York. Genesee established its control over what was once known as the Burned Over Country and - most vitally - it became the gateway to the Great Lakes. Though the nation as a whole may be small, at 80,000 people Buffalo stands proud as one of the largest cities in the nation. In Niagara Square one can hear the chattering tongues of North America in unison trading and haggling.

The Count of Genesee has divorced himself from the politics of the Northeast in favor of the riches of the Lakes. Genesee is per capita the most mercantile state on the Lakes, and it shows in the government; though the Count is generally picked from noble and not mercantile families, the power to elect the Count rests firmly in the hands of the Chamber of Commerce and the merchant interests it represents.

Buffalo is the first and last stop for goods flowing through the Great Lakes. Countless conquests have been attempted; the Quebecois, the New Yorkers, the Ontarians, and most of all the Michiganders. Small as it is, Genesee has been reliant not on brute force but on clever diplomacy to maintain its independence and prosperity. The burghers of Buffalo and Rochester are the shrewdest navigators of the labyrinthine Lake League. They constantly undermine their stronger neighbors; it was Genesee County that has been the most outspoken in favor of the autonomy of Northern Michigan, and the establishment of a friendly quasi-independent Chicago under the allied Daley's has helped to cement their influence. The nation has rotated between a friend-foe relationship with Canadians and the Alleghenians a the politics of the day demand. They are loved by few, but respected by all.

Genesee is also home to the resistance against centralized Nondenominationalism on the Great Lakes. Like many of the Burghers on the shores of the Lakeland, the Geneseean merchants have seen much to like in Lutheranism. Genesee is the national stronghold of Anti-Masonicism, seeing the Masons as a manipulative, unchristian and even demonic entity that ought to be abolished. No Masonic lodges exist within the territory of Genesee and the Churches operate rather differently from the rest of the nation's. This has made them a perpetual headache for Baltimore from both a spiritual and economic perspective, but no solution readily presents itself for the time being.

After National Vanguard Chile, I thought I should continue with the Fascist South America flags:

    First flag: Falangist Bolivia.

    Second Flag: Falangist Cuba.

Third flag: Nuevo Gran Colombia (which is, of course, Falangist).

On the other end of the spectrum, moving to the Caribbean:

    The United Communes of Hispaniola!

And that's all for tonight: short, simple, succinct. Until next time!

Very beautifully done. I like the original proposal for Nigeria. As you said, the red sun does give it a bit of flair.

The Caribbean Union flag is interesting too for the effect of the waves on the reflection of the sun. Great design.

Also for this flag i have not a definited background, i think i'll use it for Nemesis setting.
However i think, because it uses no red color, that could be for some khanate of central Asia.
