This is the flag for the Union of South America; it was a British dominion that was formed the unification of several British colonies in the Cone acquired from the 1740s on. Its links with the British monarchy came to an end when the a new constitution was enacted that made the USA into a republic. The flag is representative of the USA's Anglo-Hispanic cultural heritage.

That reminds me of something I did some years ago: a war flag for the Carlist kingdom of Catalonia, in a timeline where the great powers of Europe force the end of the Carlist wars by officialising the de facto situation: Isabel II and his Liberals control most of Spain and the pretender Carlos controls Catalonia (thanks to a surprise assault on the Liberal bastion of Barcelona) and northern Valencia. Peace is made and Carlos is made Prince of Catalonia, a title he later upgrades into "King", previous Papal petition, just for show.

The Carlist flag, opposed to the Liberals red-and-gold (that would become the new flag of Spain), is the old royal warflag of the Cross of Saint Andrew, the Burgundian ensign from Medieval times. He combines it with the flag of the Principality of Catalonia, St George's Cross, to give birth to...

They're a bit pixelated I know, but I would like some help picking which one to use. It's the flag for the United Free Kingdoms of Scotland, Ireland, and Ulster.

I personally like the fifth the most. It was a tossup between the fifth and sixth, but the Protestants wouldn't like not being represented. (Also, couldn't Ireland just absorb Ulster again if the two are already brought together? The whole thing with Ulster and Ireland being separate is painfully artificial.)
