Flag & Dynasty of an independent Norway pre-1500?

Another Norway thread? yes, this time though, I'll travel to pre-1500 territory and assume Norway has become independent.

Now there's been threads about Norway being independent in this period, but i wanna know what their flag and dynasty, as it seems like that's never mentioned.

The POD is that Sweden and Norway join forces in the Engelbrekt rebellion and end the Kalmar union with the deposition of Eric of Pomerania in 1440. What will Norway's flag and dynasty be?

(technically this guy would be Norway's first king, but after his family lineage ends, what happens then.)

Well, his [Sigurd III] heir would be his only son, Hans. Who was betrothed to Ingeborg Agesdotter. Inge died without the marriage being consummated, and the headship of the family passed to Sigurd's grand-nephew Alv Knuttsen. However, since the POD is presumably Sigurd accepting the offer of the Norwegian throne, it's early enough for Hans and Inge to have kids I'd presume. So the Jonson/Sudreim dynasty might be safe for at least one more generation.

Thanks for the replies! as for a flag, I think one based on the colours of the Coat of arms would likely happen.

Would this have suited as a flag in the long run?

There's also the possibility of a white saltire on red - representing the silver axes of St Olaf.

I want the flag to have a Nordic cross, but the colours might be an option... if reversed

IDK.. it'd be easily confused with the English flag, but it might've worked.

Well I knew about the Sudreim Claim.
But I was talking more about alternate marriages and stuff, cos right now I've just taken Sigurd's "lineage" up until it's extinction in 1536

Sigurd Jonsson [1390 - 1452]
Hans Sigurdsson [1452 - 1466]

(great-nephew) Alv Knutsson [1420 - 1496]
Knut Alvsson [1455 - 1502]
Odd Alvsson [- 1493]
Karine Alvsdotter [- 1436]
Karl & Erik Knutsson [- 1520]
Bodil Knutsdotter [- 1532]
