People's Republic of Brazil
The PRB was founded in 1964 following a rebellion against the Capitalist Dictatorship, Federal "Republic of Brazil."
The flag incorporates the lozenge of the former flag along with the sugar and hoe of the Brazilian laborer.

The People's Republic of Portugal
This socialist state was established in the aftermath of the Carnation Revolution, when on the 25th November a cabal of left-wing military officers under Brigadier Otelo Saraiva de Carvalho seized power from the democratic government and brought the country into the Soviet sphere.
The new flag took inspiration from communist states in Eastern Europe, removing the crests of long-defunct monarchy while retaining the armillary sphere as a representation of Portugal's intellectual and scientific heritage.

Soviet Socialist Republics of Scandinavia
Butterflies flap their wings and suddenly the USSR does a lot better in the WWII. Operation Barbarossa gets bogged down almost immediately and the Soviet pushback begins already in 1942. In the north, poor Finland is rolled over pretty quickly and Sweden follows suit after a long and intense fighting. After Nazi Germany collapses, Denmark is added to the Soviet conquests with little struggle. The Allied landing operations in German-occupied Norway manage to wrench the rump of Norway away from the Soviets, but this is a scant consolation. The Iron Curtain now runs across the Scandinavian peninsula and divided France.
