Finnish SSR and the Swedish-speaking minority

What would happen to the Swedish-speaking Finns in a timeline, where Finland ended up as another SSR, would they be force assimilates, ethnic cleansed, deported to sibiria, left alone or their own ASSR?

Hmm. Assuming that things turn out broadly like OTL (so there's WW2, a Cold War, and an Iron Curtain), I understand that Sweden would probably be in NATO, though I may be wrong. If that's the case, a Swedish community would be viewed as a security risk. I'm not sure whether they'd actually be sent to Siberia (perhaps just until Stalin's death if at all), but I very much doubt they'd get an ASSR, and they'd probably face passive assimilation into Finnishdom thanks to a lack of minority rights. All the SSRs promoted their "national" language (Tajik prevailing over various mountain dialects, for instance, or Standard Georgian over the minorities).

Yes, the Swedish speakers would be assimilated. The Soviets could play on Finnish nationalism, and the fact that many Swedish speakers were part of the bourgeois elite (but not all, many were peasants too).
