Finnish population prediction

What would be the size of the finnish population if the famine in the 19th century is avoided, as well as 20th century wars where Finland was involved? I assume a millon more people, so the population nowadays would be just over 6 millon.

Different trends in immigration should be considered too. Finland, which has been able to avoid wars, is probably economically more advanced and might attract more immigrants earlier. IOTL larger scale immigration to Finland only started in the 1990’s, and even that was small compared to many other European nations at the beginning. Except for some certain periods in history, Finland has been usually a source of immigrants, not their destination. Economically more affluent Finland might enjoy much greater immigration which would contribute to its population growth. If we use Sweden as a comparison, which was able to enjoy relatively peaceful conditions during the 20th century, about 20% of its population has immigrant background and the number goes up to 30% if we count also those who have one parent who is an immigrant. While very simplistic comparison, this gives some idea about the potential size of immigrant population in this ATL Finland.

On the other hand, smaller scale emigration from Finland would also contribute significantly to Finnish demographics. Phenomena, like the depopulation of large areas in Lapland, are probably unavoidable, but migration flows from those areas would go towards Finnish cities in south, not Sweden.
