Fictional US Senators. They can be weird in-jokes, ASB speculation about unusual historical figures making it to the senate, part of an alternate timeline, or even totally fictional characters. I'll start with an obvious joke one:

Jon Arbuckle
Junior United States Senator from Indiana

Political Party: Republican
Assumed Office: January 3, 2015
Previously:
-Member of the U.S. House of Representatives
from Indiana's 6th district January 3, 2013 – January 3, 2015
-Conservative political cartoonist at the The Indianapolis Star
Born: June 19, 1978
Family:
-Liz Arbuckle née Wilson (wife)
-Dan "Doc Boy" Arbuckle (brother)
Education: Ball State University, bachelors of Art and Business
Bio: Jon Arbuckle was born in Muncie, Indiana where he still resides with his wife and numerous pets. The political cartoonist for the Indianapolis Star, Arbuckle was also popular with the online right for his weekly arch-conservative webcomic James A.* He ran a wave of anti-establishment support into the House of Representatives, and later into the Senate. In office he has revealed himself to be nebbish and clumsy, responsible for a number of misstatements and embarrassing malapropisms. According to an interview with his wife, veterinarian Liz Wilson Arbuckle, the senator suffers from depression and spends many hours having imaginary conversations with his orange tabby as a form of therapy. His love for animals may explain why, despite his anti-regulatory politics, he reached across the aisle to help pass the the Animal Cruelty & Violence Intervention Act of 2019.**

*Former president James A. Garfield at the moment of assassination is instead transported to the modern day, where he comments on society with incredulity.
**It also may have been a reaction to an incident in 2019 in which a disgruntled constituent kidnapped one of his pets, a grey kitten, and mailed it to the United Arab Emirates.
