Feudalism survives in a modified form

is it possible to have Feudalism survive in the industrial age? to this day?

Let's say that Feudal lords turn to banking, and lords eventually become bankers and use their estate to do manufacturing. Eventually feudal estates become corporations in their own right

Or let's say the Meiji Restoration goes a different way, and Daimyos are allowed to keep their title, provided that they take over some aspect of modernization, and hence a type of industry.

Any other ideas?

Dynastic rulers were on the way out, with the popularization of politics, and the people taking a more active part. Sure, we can have elected rulers over feudal provinces, but how would that be different from Japans modern prefecture system? Or the United States?
