Feingold/Kucinich spark a widespread liberal movement?

You might push the POD as late as the Republican Revolution collapsing in the early 90s, for whatever reason. Maybe Perot decides if he can't be President he'll at least have influence, and finances a slate of Reform candidates that split enough votes to keep out the GOP majority. Allow Clinton to pass single-payer healthcare and end gay discrimination in the military, among other things, and it becomes much more likely that America will be a leftier place (though there were a lot more conservative Democrats than there are now, so that might be a problem). Feingold as Gore's VP?

So the best TL for a recent powerful liberal movement is... OTL? Interesting.

not really... for all their anger they still lost their battle

the pod to get what you are looking for is something that makes the baby boomers have more children...

i don't know what would cause that... probably a combination of delayed feminism/increased female participation in the workplace and delayed contraception

Ford in '76 could easily lead to the boomers being not being as conservative as long as you get a liberal dem in '80.
