FDR finishes his fourth term, who is the Democratic nominee in 48'?

As it says on the tin, FDR lives through his fourth term but decides not to run for a fifth term. Does VP Truman get the nod as in OTL or does FDR favor someone else?

He clearly took something of a shine to Truman, hence his selection as VP. So Truman may all have been the nominee. I suppose that he might have given the nod to William O. Douglas, but it's hard to say.

Granted, a world where FDR survived would be wildly different.

Truman was picked because the party bosses knew FDR was going to die and Truman was acceptable to be President.

Assuming FDR is in better health, Truman might not be picked. FDR liked Wallace, so he most likely stays.

But Wallace is NEVER going to be the nominee. Most likely is Cordell Hall.

Wallace is mad that he isn't the nominee and runs 3rd party like OTL, but he gets more attention ATL cuz he is Vice President longer.

Dewey wins

Would it be possible that FDR would run fifth term?
I doubt it. He was in very poor health by the start of the 4th term. If he lives out the fourth term, and doesn't resign after the War to go to the UN, as many not just on this site have suggested, he would step aside after four terms and give someone else a try.

Hell no. He'd be really old and the war's over, so he wouldn't want to run for a fifth term. He never wanted to run for a third term in the first place, only doing so because he felt continuity was best with war looking inevitable.
