<Many of us really hate the one-upmanship RPathons that DBs are. FBs are amongst the worst.
So an idea comes to me; a real DBWI is speaking of OTL from the POV of another time line where something went different.
So a real FBWI? Clearly the usual sort of fun of predicting the future from the POV of the past....
So...its 1984... And ignore the fact there was no internet, just assume.>
Did anyone else see that programme Threads on TV the other day? Damn! Sure post-apocolyptic stuff is a pretty popular genre and we all know the Mad Max 2 type thing of a desert world with no natural resources and biker gangs fighting over them (what? thats what Australia is actually like?
) but Threads did it a lot more realistically and actually presented the apocolypse. Not just the cool aftermath (yes...Mad Max 1 did this sort of but...it wasn't nuclear war.)
So...Is anyone else wetting themselves today at the prospect of WW3?
I mean...I don't exactly live in a big city but from what I've read that's a bad thing- I'll die a slow painful death from radiation poisoning rather than being incinerated instantly....fun.
If WW3 does come...how quickly will it come down to nukes?
Sure in WW3 everyone looses but still to look at a map Russia is damn big, lots of empty land. Something tells me they will come out best when it comes down to the war.
Just imagine that- surviving nuclar winter in your cozy little fallout shelter only to emerge and find Russian troops patrolling the place.
