Looking at families and clans that ruled Japan for decent periods of time, which clan did so best?

The options:

The Imperial Family: They ruled a unified Japan first, so they count. Who were they originally? Who knows?
The Soga Clan: They literally invented the use of puppet rulers in Japan.
The Fujiwara Clan: If you like the powers behind the throne to be classy and cultural and sophisticated.
The retired Imperial Family: That's right, retired Emperors ruling behind their family members.
The Taira Clan: One faction in the Gempei War. Also the losing one.
The Minamoto Clan: The winning faction in the Gempei War. Their shogunate was usurped by the Hojo.
The Hojo Clan: Powers behind the thrones of the powers behind the throne during the Kamakura Period.
The Ashikaga Clan: Not the strongest, but we can thank them for all of those sengoku video games. Also called the Muromachi Period.
The Tokugawa Clan: Peace and isolation and European industrialization? Also called the Edo Period.
The other clans: Anybody I might have missed.

Poll should be attached.
