Fate of the ROA in case of german victory

In a scenario wich germany defeat the soviet union, what would happen to the Russian liberation army?

Either betrayed and exterminated, or allowed to form a puppet regime in Russia after proper 'Germanification'.

Which is more likely is up to you.

If the victory takes places before autumn of 1944 the ORA would never exist, so no problem, the Ostbataillonen would be brushed down under the carpet and no one would remember them and if we are talking about later than autumn'44 no problem, too, as Germany was f**** up by then and couldn't win.:D

Yeah, by the time ROA was properly formed, Germany was already losing on all grounds. If Germany wins, it's certainly with an earlier PoD and then the Nazi leadership might feel confident enough to not allow creation of the ROA in the first place.

If it's created anyway...probably kept on security/anti-partisan duty in western Europe or the Balkans, and maybe in some parts of the former eastern front.

It's possible the Nazis realize the necessity of creating a puppet Russian regime and abandon their original plans for the east, but not very likely. And even if they do it's only going to happen after years, or decades, of insane and genocidal policies. The ROA is more likely to be disarmed and murdered en masse than to form the core of a puppet government. The most likely fate is a part of the ROA imprisoned or killed and the rest join the resistance movement(s).
