There is a lot of talk about the weaknesses of the Arab states leading up to the Six Day war, but presumably, had they actually won, what would have happened to Israel afterwards? (A better question may be how it is that they plan on winning- perhaps not bleeding itself white in Yemen would have helped Nasser a bit, but that is the only thing I can think of)

You can look at statements like that of the Iraqi Prime minister who stated that "there would be no Jewish survivors" or how Nasser and Assad both pledged the destruction of Israel. But how practical would this have been? Would an Arab military victory actually have led to the destruction of Israel? Was the rhetoric of destruction and annihilation, repeated in the charters of Palestinian movements around even today, even remotely feasible? Would they have tried?

What would have been the UN reaction?
