What about Slavery?

Hey there. TBH, I think we should just stick with what happened OTL, namely, the Connecticut Compromise. However, though, as for slavery, I'd like to suggest an interesting twist if you don't mind; perhaps there's a compromise of sorts where the slave states are guaranteed the 'right' to allow slavery in their territories for a period of the next 30 or 40 years, and the government may not emancipate slaves in any state without two-thirds of approval from the legislatures of said state. After that, however, the government will no longer be restricted from outlawing slavery when the opprotunity arises to do so, unless two-thirds of the states resolve to renew the protection of Southern slavery for another period, of the exact same length.
