Fascist France?

Is it possible to have a Fascist or Fascistic government take control of France after the Allied victory? La Cagoule, Action Francaise or the French Popular Party are candidates.

Possible but difficult after an allied victory in WWI, but impossible after WWII. That being said, France could very well become authoritarian-rightist after WWII.

Maybe not fascistic per say but the allies might have put in place a dictatorship if they feared a communist takeover.
If Francois Darlan survives his 1942 assassination and manages to emerge from WWII as the De Gaulle-esque "Savior of France (TM)", I could see things quickly going in a more rightist / militarist direction. Not as reactionary as Petain's France or Franco's Spain, but middle ground between the para-facism of the OAS and De Gaulle's paternal / dirigiste state.

I meant purely after World War One. I dont think after World War Two is possible. Unless you had a far more Nationalist De Gaulle.

Darlan has no support at all he was hated trying to impose him would be a disaster.

Absolutely, especially if the leader of the Croix de Feu, Francois de la Rocque, had allowed a coup to be attempted during the 6 February 1934 crisis.

If said coup succeeds what will likely happen with this Fascist France? Would there be a French Civil War?

Except that La Rocque was not a fascist, but rather in favour of a strong presidential Republic similar to the one De Gaulle implemented.

I think the Spanish Civil War would be a friendly affair compared to a French Civil War. And with a fascist coup it is almost sure to happen. IIRC the French were the largest part of the International Brigades, and the French Resistance were largely made of communist before 1944, all of this points to a civil war.

and to make mather worst, France shares a border with Germany so the later could decide to send in some troops and/or hardware to help the fascist, if they controled that part of the country.
