Farnsworth-Baird TV in the UK - what would that mean?

According to this, Philo T Farnsworth met with Logie Baird, and their TV system was in the running to be the standard UK television system. What would have happened had Farnsworth-Baird joined forces and their system been chosen for the standard UK television system?

British TV would be worse off. The problem was, Baird at the time was fixed on electro-mechanical TV, rather than fully electric. Maybe if they'd maintained contact so that in the post-war period Baird had a market for his 600-line colour TV, then you might have something. Of course it wouldn't be in Britain then, but the US, but it would still be mid-late 60s rate TV sets about 20 years earlier.
