British TV would be worse off. The problem was, Baird at the time was fixed on electro-mechanical TV, rather than fully electric. Maybe if they'd maintained contact so that in the post-war period Baird had a market for his 600-line colour TV, then you might have something. Of course it wouldn't be in Britain then, but the US, but it would still be mid-late 60s rate TV sets about 20 years earlier.
