Let's do this again. The PoD is 1900 as usual.

Vladimir Putin, 1952-, Russian Minister of Defence 2000-2006, General Secretary of the Eurasian Federation, 2008-.
Former member of the Okhrana, became a hotshot in the National Democratic Party in the 1990s, and became Russian Minister of Defence in the 2000 National Democrat government. He oversaw the formation of the Russian military from a Conscripted Army to a modern Professional Army, and oversaw the Russian Peacekeeping Operations in the Caucasus and in the Balkans. Stayed as Minister of Defence in the Social Democrat government of 2004 (only non- Social Democrat), but was dismissed in 2006 after the revelations of the Bosnian Genocide and Russia's role in it was revealed. However made an incredible comeback when he was appointed General Secretary of the Eurasian Federation in 2008. Lead the Eurasian Armed Forces interventions in Iran and Afghanistan, and his charisma alone made sure his National Democrat allies retook the Duma in the 2010 elections in Russia. Under his lead Iran, Afghanistan, Greece, Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia signed the Eurasian accords and joined the Federation. Is criticized by many for leading Russia and Eurasia away from democracy and for leading an aggressive expansionist foreign policy.
