When looking at European history, one can see that there were many royal families that ruled more than one country, be it in personnal union or not.
Here are some of them, probably the most known :
-The Hapsburg (Austria, Hungary, Spain, Naples and The Netherlands at the height of their power. They also held some Italian Miniors as well as the Holy Roman Empire.)
-The Bourbons (France, Spain, Naples and the Duchy of Parma)
-The Jagellons (Poland-Lithuania, Hungary)
-The Bonapartes (France, Italy, Spain, Westphalia and Holland. They also had relatives ruling on Naples and Tuscany. They ruled for a short time though)
Do you know other Royal Families that ruled more than one country?
And did we had similar situations outside of Europe?
Also, were there families that could have ruled one or more countries but failed to do so?
