Several threads here last one "No fog over Munic" seem to ignore or peoples are not aware off that the Imperial German Navy treated Denmark-Norway as one strategic area.
Planning regarding either country would logically involve the other.
Fall J (Case J) was prepared in 1916 and the Danish Foreign Min strove to avert the inevitable until late in 1917 when the dangerous moment had passed.
Probably it was to be carried out along the unrestricted Uboat warfare declaration of March 1. 1916 or February 1. 1917. Or some time following that.
The occupation of Norway would of course be naval one airtransport being so limited at this time.
If the Kiegsmarine is to secure the passage to Norway will we see an early or second battle of Jutland?
Would this give the Germans the edge in the Uboat war they wanted?
Would we see WWII-like Murmansk convoy battles?
Could this affect the situation in Scandinavia, i.e. make Sweden an ally of the CPs? The German ships going for Norway would have to cross through Swedish territorial waters to avoid the Danish minefield in Oeresund.
