"Evidence" Of Hitler's Jewish Ancestry Comes To Light In Nazi Germany In WW2.

I don't know if the notion of Hitler having Jewish ancestry is a myth or not, though Austria certainly had a larger Jewish population than Germany and if Nazis or regular old school German army officials decided to 'Find' 'evidence' of such a thing and broadcast it to the Reich, what would the implications be for the dicktator, himself and the war? As the war started to go badly for the Nazis, his popularity took a serious nosedive, though, they were still many fanatical Nazis about, he did experience a slight honeymoon rise in popularity post surviving Valkyrie, but not for long!

The Gestapo or SS would come over late in the evening. They might even take the army guys back to their place if the visit goes well.

Such evidence did come to light as part of British 'black' propaganda. It was not very successful, though every now and then you still hear daft Neo-Nazis claim Hitler can't have been antisemitic because he was one-quarter jewish.

The Frankenberger hypothesis is refuted. First, there was no Jew named Frankenberger; second, at the time Hitler's grandmother was in Graz, there were no Jews there at all; third and most important, that theory was made up by Hans Frank, a high-ranked nazi who got capital punishment (by hanging) in Nuremberg.
