CHAPTER ONE
It is September 8 1935. Huey long is at the state capitol. At 9:20 AM, Carl Weiss would approach long, where he would then draw his gun at him. However his guard would soon spot the gun. While most of the guards rush at him, One of the guards would shoot at carl, severely injuring him. Long would attempt to duck under the desk.
"Sir are you okay?" said one of the guard
"Holy shit what the hell happen?!" Exclaimed long
"Sir it's alright, the assassin has been captured" said another guard.
"Christ... check out the building, see if there are any other assains in the building," he said.
"Sir are you sure..."
"Damn it just leave me alone!*sigh* I need to lie down."
"Look, men, Huey just survive an assassination, leave him alone. The guard telling the other guard who asked.
Huey would sigh and then leave the room. He would be escorted by his guard to prevent further attacks. The state capitol is next closed down for investigation. One September 12 Carl Weiss is put on trial in Shreveport, Louisiana. Weiss would be charged with first degree. Weiss would be later executed on October 27 1935. His body is later cremated
Following the incident, Huey's popularity would rise. As the economy would stay the slump it was, many begin to listen to Huey long "Every man is a king" slogan. Huey's popularity would increasingly rise.
October 29, 1935. 2 Days after the execution of Weiss.
"Come in Come in"
"Good day Mr.long. Have you seen the newspaper" The senator would walk in the room where he would sit down
"No. Why?" asked Long.
The senator would then show Huey an article from the New Orleans newspaper. The newspaper states: "Assassin executed" "The men who attempted to kill senator Huey long has been recently been executed for first-degree murder, Assassination attempt and possession of a firearm."
"Ah that what I like to see. No one commits a crime and gets away with it in Louisiana. My Louisiana."Exclaimed long.
"Ah yes, but that not the reason why I'm here" said the senator.
"What is it?"
"Well uhh, There have been rumours that Judge Leander has, uh, been involved in illegal oil sale."
"Impossible, he's a trusted judge."
"Were not sure yet but we need an investigation to see if he's in any illegal activity." The senator said, placing his fist on Huey's desk.
" Your right. Like I say no crime gets away. But let's just do an investigation, before we fire the gun too quick"
"Uh yes, sir" The senator would then leave the room.
Huey Long speaking to one of his loyal senators over the Perez controversy.
The other unknown politician. speaking to Huey long about the rumour.
Long would eventually become more popular where he then begins to form his possible new political party, The Populist Party.
