Eva Braun Killed in an Accident 1941

I'v read an AH book where Eva Braun gets killed in 1941, Attentatet i Pålsjö Skog av Hasse Alfredson. (A book I might get back to.)

But say that Eva Braun gets killed in an unexpected accident, say a car crash in 1941, just prior to Barbarossa. What would happen?

Nothing really a bit of internal sympathy for Hitler but he doesnt really care.

All he cared about was himself and his insane ideals.

The biggest possible divergence is that he might micromanage a little less in the first 2-3 weeks of Barbarossa. I would be careful about going too far with that.

Depends. Have we finally decided whether Hitler was gay, loved Eva, or didn't give much of a damn about her? Maybe he only married Eva in the end to say he didn't die a bachelor. I don't think Hitler cared much about Eva. I also don't think he was completely straight, and I believe he had strange practices in bed. Seeing as all but one of the women he had sex with attempted suicide.

So there would be more support for Hitler for a little while and maybe Stalin would send a letter of condolences on June 21, 1941. And be shocked when the invasion goes ahead as planned.

Hitler might mourn her for a short time, but overall I doubt it would have much effect on history because she didn't really do much except film Hitler's home movies.

Eva attempted suicide twice before due to Hitler's emotional distance from her. Seriously, causing Blondi to die might have more emotional impact on Hitler. This is not an exaggeration; heartlessness leading to suicide attempts shows just how little Hitler cared about Eva Braun.

Do not forget Hitler's cousin Geli Rabaul, and the relationship that was flawed at the first and could well have ended with Hitler shooting her.

Getting Hitler to care about women and raising a family instead of preaching hatred would completely rewrite his character--but Hitler's madness had nothing at all to do with the women in his life, who, as far as I can tell, were moderating influences.

Making Hitler Straight instead of Asexual and he might have better things to life for than tearing the world to pieces...

Yeah, if it messed with his head and he just told his general staff to "take care of it" while he pines away over Eva... well, nothing good would come from that.
