Esperanto and/or Ido an auxilliary language

That'd be cool. I'd actually like to learn Esperanto at some point.

If I remember rightly, introducing Esperanto as an international auxiliary language was proposed at some point to the League of Nations, but France vetoed it because French was the de facto international language at the time & they wanted it to stay that way (of course, now it's English).

So how do we change that sorry state of affairs?
