Eric of Pomerania

Eric of Pomerania was King of the Kalmar Union from 1412 to his abdication in the 1440s, he was married to Philippa of England, daughter of King Henry IV, their marriage was childless. What would have happened had Eric had had a son say in 1429 or earlier? Would that child be chosen as the next ruler of the union?

Probably. OTL his nephew was.

more interesting in m opinion would be Kalmar's reaction to the 100YW. Do they jump in on the English side? Stay neutral? Or attempt to mediate and perhaps mitigate the English losses (i.e. the English lose, they just don't necessarily lose so much (which was one of the causes IIRC of the WotR)

After the Engelbrekt rebellion of 1443, the Kalmar Union was dead in all but name. Sweden was a drain on Danish resources rather than an addition, and every Danish king had to promise complete autonomy or fight to gain the Swedish crown - and when he tried to get anything out of it, he was usually ousted in a revolt.

I don't think the Danes will be able to do anything in England when they have their hands full in Sweden.
