Epithets for POTUS

Many monarchs or other notables over the years have earned (or rather, not earned but been given them anyway) epithets by their contemporaries and by posterity. So, what would OTL Presidents look like if we awarded epithets to them as well?

* Bush the Boisterous (George W. Bush's speedy decision to invade the country of Iraq in 2003 was described by many throughout the world as being very boisterous.)

* Clinton the Charming (William J. Clinton's well-known phrases of "It's the economy, stupid" and "I feel your pain" and his wooing of intern Monica Lewinsky could be listed as a result of his charm.)

* Reagan the Raucous (Ronald W. Reagan's new economic policies of the 1980s could be described as raucous compared to those of past presidencies.)

* Carter the Capricious (James E. Carter's failed Operation Eagle Claw could be described as the result of a capricious personality, causing him to lose his re-election campaign to his successor, former Governor Ronald W. Reagan of California.)

* Ford the Forthright (Gerald R. Ford was described by many people as being a simple and straightforward man.)

* Nixon the Negligent (Richard M. Nixon's implication in the Watergate scandal was the result of his negligence.)

* Johnson the Jingoistic (Lyndon B. Johnson's decision to increase the involvement of the USA in the Vietnam War could be described as the result jingoistic attitudes against communism and socialism.)

* Kennedy the Kempt (John F. Kennedy was known by many people as being a charming, stylish man who was very neat and refined.)

* Eisenhower the Empathetic (Dwight D. Eisenhower sent in the U.S. military to protect students during the Civil Rights movement when they were threatened.)

* Truman the Terrible (Harry S. Truman had the lowest approval rating of any U.S. president when he left his term of office.)

* Hoover the Horrific (Herbert C. Hoover is consistently listed as one of the worst U.S. presidents by historians due to his poor handling of the early 1930s economy.)

* Harding the Horrible (Warren G. Harding is consistently listed as one of the worst U.S. presidents by historians.)

* Roosevelt the Rough (Theodore Roosevelt commanded the 1st United States Volunteer Cavalry, also known as the Rough Riders, during the Spanish-American War in 1898. He is described by many historians as being a tough and strong man.)

* Lincoln the Liberator (Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation freed slaves by de jure in the southern seceding states of the USA during the American Civil War of the mid-19th century.)

* Washington the Willful (George Washington is described by many historians as being a tough and resilient general during his military service to the USA in the Revolutionary War against the United Kingdom of Great Britain.)
