It's well known how badly the Soviets fucked up the Aral Sea, and they also cared jack shit about the environment.
Assuming a Soviet "Victory" in the Cold war circa late 1980s (without the Soviets going all perestroika afterward), how would the world look environmentally in 2012?
Would we see even greater climate change, more pollution, nothing done about conservation, and general suppression of a "green" movement?
On the other hand, the average soviet citizen wasn't a consumer who would be asking for 3 televisions, 4 PCs, and 5 rooms in each house.
