English reformation with no dynastic factor

How much influence would Protestantism have if either Mary had given hima surviving son or died before Henry fell in love with Anne Bolyn

I know there had been some movements way before that but if officialdom persecuted it../

And would Ireland's divisions have been different?

As Henry was given the title of "defender of the faith" by the Pope, I rather think that full blown Protestants would have ben VERY badly treated if Henry hadn't split from the Church. To his death he had absolutely no doctrinal problems with the Catholic Church just its unwillingness to let him divorce Catharine (not surprising as the Hapsburgs dominated Italy at that point!). So if Mary had been Edward (or another Henry or possibly Arthur) the Reformation in England would have been a lot more like that of Germany and England may well have been sucked into the religious wars of the next 100 or so years.
