England Remains Catholic

I tried using the search engine, but it sucks major ass, so I am starting a whole new thread instead:

Let's suppose that Queen Catherine of Aragon bears King Henry VIII a healthy son and he survives to adulthood, thus obviating any need for the King to break away from Rome.

What are the possible consequences of England remaining Catholic?

I always use google. If you type in:

site:alternatehistory.com ____

Where ___ is whatever you want it's much more efficient than AH's boards search engine :D.

James V1 of Scotland would not have become king of England.
So the union on 1707 would never have happened

The state of the island would depend on wether Scotland turned Presbyterian, there is a good chance that it would as the reformation in Scotland was a far more grass roots affair than it was in England.

If Scotland did become Presbyterian there would at sometime be a prolonged war which the Scots would loose bit time and aftermath would see reprisals that would cause resentment that would last for centuries

If Scotland stayed catholic the whole island would be uneasily united as per TOL due to self interest
