England in the 30 Years War

What impact would active English involvement in the Thirty Years war have in the event of a Royalist victory in the English Civil War?

Let's say that an Anglo-Scottish army of roughly 20,000 is raised in 1644 and sent to fight on the continent, does it have much of a long-term impact?

The Catholics have just suffered defeats to the French and Swedes, so can English involvement tip the balance further?

This is during the English Civil War. I am perplexed as to why these troops are being sent abroad rather than being employed in the Civil War.

Sorry, I should have been clearer. This is happening, hypothetically speaking, after a Royalist victory in 1643.

Hence

"What impact would active English involvement in the Thirty Years war have in the event of a Royalist victory in the English Civil War?"

Given how unstable the situation would be I doubt if Charles could support such a force, especially not overseas. Even if the roundheads were defeated in England Charles still has to deal with the Scottish kirk and a multi-sided conflict in Ireland before he can consider looking overseas. Furthermore in all 3 kingdoms unrest and disorder is likely for some time after the defeat of the various rebels and the kingdom will not have a lot of wealth spare for foreign adventures.

As an alternative, what about a delayed English Civil War with the catalyst for it being returning vets from the Thirty Years' War?
