I love the infamous Video Game.

I would have thought that Big Trouble does a little better since you had some Hong Kong Films released in the US before Big Trouble was released.

It received poor reviews, received little promotion mainly because of Fox's awful finances, and went up against two films that were more anticipated and were much better received.

The Bidding for 20th Century Fox (July 1986-January 1987)
July 28 1986: 20th Century Fox is put for sale. These are the bidders: Sony (owner of Disney and Gaumont), Virgin Enterprises (Who later ITTL will own Columbia Pictures in 1989), NBC, Compass International, Viacom (owner of Viacom Pictures), Noel C. Bloom, Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Suzanne de Passe, and Carolco.

August 14: News Corp offers to purchase Fox for $5,000,000; the offer is turned down.

August 15: Noel C. Bloom's withdraws his bid for Fox.

August, 18, 1986: The Federal Trade Commission blocks Sony and Viacom's bids for 20th Century Fox; the FTC's argument is that Sony owns a major studio (Disney) and that Viacom owns a major television producer and major distributor (Viacom Distribution and Filmways).

August 19 1986: Ted Turner ends the CBS/Fox Partnership.

August 20 1986: Diana Ross and Suzanne de Passe form a partnership known as Jade Tiger Enterprises.

August 21 1986: Virgin offers $27,000,000 for Fox; the company plans to sell Fox's pre-1980 library (excluding the Fox Film and 20th Century Pictures libraries), sell the Television Unit, and sell the 20th Century Fox Studio in LA. The offer is turned down.

September 25 1986: NBC offers $54,000,000 for Fox; the company plans to sell Fox's Television Distribution arm, whist ending the Fox-ABC Motion Pictures Distribution Pact.

October 7 1986: Michael Jackson offers $147,000,000 for Fox.

December 23 1986: Compass International and NBC offers for 20th Century Fox are rejected.

January 18 1987: The Board of Directors at 20th Century Fox accepts Michael Jackson's offer.

Michael Jackson buying Fox? I wonder what he'll do with it.

Well per what happen with John F. White and MGM; scripts will be bought and shitty ones will be sold off. However Fox retains the old Fox and 20th Century Pictures libraries (though without the rights to Aliens and Cleopatra (Both of which are owned by Universal now)) And the Record company was sold off so Fox's soundtracks will be released through Sony Records; whilst MJ's albums are issued through DisneylandVista. MJJ Communications is formed in 1987 (despite Bad being released in America in 1986), 20th Century Fox then goes back to using the Slanted Zero Design in 1987, and in 1988 The byline an "MJJ Communications Company" is added to the logo staring with Working Girl. Fox's distribution unit is shut down in exchange for distribution pacts with Sony (USA, Canada, UK, and Japan 1987-2014 (when Fox's Distribution Arm is reopened), Warner Bros. (1987 -1993 International), Toho (1993 - 2004), CIC (2004- end of TL)

MJ videos Will be something even impresive now
They will.

Logos that are in use as of 1986
Sony: Walt Disney Pictures
ITTL the logo has the byline "A Sony Company" below the castle. Gaumont
The same byline that is on the Disney logo is on this logo. Sony Pictures Distribution: The text "Sony Pictures Distribution" appears at the beginning of the film on a varied colour background.

Motown: Warner Bros. Pictures, the 1984 logo is used; the byline under the shield states "A Motown Company" the byline does change to "A Motown Pictures Company" in 1990 starting with Quick Change, then to a "A Motown-NYNEX Company" in 1994 with Wolf, then to "A Verizon Company" with The Damned Utd. (Which Warner bought from Toho) in 2009. Motown Pictures, the logo is the Motown corporate logo but with the words Motown Pictures under the M.

Toho: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, same as OTL but with the words, "A Toho Company" under the lion. Screen Gems, its a hand drawn version of the 1999 logo, the same byline used on the MGM logo is used on Screen Gems' logo. Toho, same as OTL though the logo has an English version removes the kanji words below the circle and replaces them with text that reads "Toho Motion Picture Company". Pacific Arts, Same as OTL. Pathe,
the Toho byline from the MGM logo is used below the Pathe wording.

Universal, Same as OTL.

RKO, their 1929 logo is used.

Lorimar, Same as OTL.

20th Century Fox, same as OTL.

Televisa: United Artists, the OTL 1987 logo is used but with the byline "A Televisa Telecommunications Company" at the bottom.

Apple: Apple Pictures, A Green Apple is seen on a black background, the apple is either static or zooms in. There is usually no fanfare (The logo uses only the zoom animation starting in 1987 and a proper fanfare is used starting in 1994 with Cronos; though sometimes the opening music is used, the French and Spanish releases of Dragon Ball Z: Dead Zone had this though the US release the logo is silent as only the Toei and Paramount logos have their fanfares intact on the US release.)

Blue Note, on a green background a music note is seen, then several hands grab the note, after that the hands all fade into one hand grabbing the note, the text Blue Note Pictures the appears below the the note.

Paramount, The blue mountain is used though the CGI Mountain will be coming soon (Though the logo won't be animated by Pixar since due to the fact that most of the people who founded Pixar are currently working at Amblin or teaching Computer Graphics at NYIT. ITTL the logo was animated by Information International Inc.)

Turner: CBS Pictures, their OTL 1984 logo is being used. TriStar, same as OTL. Studio Ghibli, N/A.

Island Records: Columbia Pictures, their OTL 1981 logo is being used.

Samuel Goldwyn Pictures, 7Arts,First National, Bandai Pictures, and Blue Flower: TBA when their first films come out: Playing for Keeps (7Arts) and Pelle the Conqueror (First National) are the only ones I will spoil right now.
